How to get a library card

How can kids get a library card?

  1. Come to the Astoria Public Library with a parent or guardian who has a Driver's License or an Oregon ID card with a current address.
  2. Your parent or guardian signs a library card agreement.
  3. You neatly print your name on your new library card.
  4. Your library card is laminated in plastic so it will last forever.
  5. Your new Astoria Public Library card is ready! When you find something you want to borrow, just CHECK IT OUT!

Does a library card cost anything?

If you live within the Astoria City limits there is no charge.

If you live outside the Astoria City limits the following payment options are available.

  • $18 for 3 months
  • $33 for 6 months
  • $60 for 12 months

Do you need a library card replaced?

If you already have an account in the library computer, a replacement library card may be purchased for $6.
